Hottest Beach Destinations To Spend Your Honeymoon

Want a one-of-a-kind honeymoon that you can talk about for years to come? Find a stunning and secluded beach destination to celebrate your new life with these four vacation spots:

1. Southern California Beaches

Dozens of beaches dot the SoCal coast for a hot beach honeymoon in the mainland USA, and each has its own flair and beauty. La Jolla Cove, a small beach tucked in the coast, is one of the most photographed beaches in all of Southern California. Santa Monica Beach, on the other hand, offers an event-filled pier and dozens of well-maintained fire pits for a romantic evening outdoors.

If you are looking for a different type of beach, the Corona del Mar beach requires a bit of a hike among the cliffs, but the reward is smooth water, beautiful plant life, and perfect sunsets. Spend the day at 1000 Steps Beach for a quiet beach as well. Cliffs hem in the area while the 250+ steps to the water deter most of the crowds. Other as-yet underappreciated secluded beaches include El Matador State Beach and Shaw’s Cove.

2. St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands

As the least developed of the U.S. Virgin Islands, St. John is largely untouched due to much of the land existing as a national park. This makes St. John the perfect place for a relaxing honeymoon. U.S. Virgin Island hotels on St. John vary from luxurious villas and resorts to economical and local inns.

Plenty of stores and restaurants surround Cruz Bay, the busiest part of the island, while the North Shore Road is made up of many beaches. Cruise around to find your favorite spot or head to Trunk Bay for snorkeling. As a U.S. territory, this island is also easy and affordable to reach.

3. Bora Bora, French Polynesia

Stay in an over-the-water cottage on this tropical island. Dozens of resorts offer luxurious amenities from your own personal butler to free bikes and speed boat transportation. Bring some inflatable rafts to float outside your room, or spend the day sunning at the beach. A couples massage, snorkeling tour, and board surfing lessons are all options you can add to your trip. The reef surrounding the island is full of colorful sea life and the sky will give you the purest blue and the most vibrant sunsets as well.

4. Bacuit Archipelago, Philippines

For the adventurous couple, do more than lounge on the beach and accept hand-delivered cocktails. Impressive cliffs and rock formations create an interesting landscape, perfect for rock climbing. Kayak on the pure water, take a hike along the rocks, or go diving or snorkeling. Secret beaches and lagoons make sure you get all the privacy you want for swimming and sunbathing as well.

Whether interested in exploring exotic locations and wildlife or in relaxing and being waited on hand and foot, these beach destinations will turn your head with their vivacious colors and local flair and activities. What’s the best beach destination you’ve seen?
