When Japanese car manufacturer Nissan Motors introduced a much improved and refurbished version of their premium hatchback, Micra, auto enthusiasts were dazed. Not only was the new car carrying a fresh appeal to it, but also it was priced very competitively. The overhauled edition of Micra is built on the V platform of Nissan Motors. The engine is mated with a five-speed manual transmission gearbox. This powerful engine offers an average mileage of 16 to 19.5 kmpl. The maximum achievable speed is 150 to 160 km per hour. The car can reach the 0-100 km per hour mark in around thirteen seconds.
This car is loaded with safety features like frontal twin airbags, disc brakes, Anti-lock Braking System with Electronic Brake-Force Distribution, brake assist, engine immobilizer, follow-me-home lamps and speed sensing automatic door locks, central locking and a security alarm among others. The other comfort features include power steering, power windows, adjustable rear headrests, adjustable external rear view mirrors, assist grips, trendy instrument cluster with tachometer. For entertainment, a music system with USB interface, aux-in support together with FM/AM player is provided. A semi-drive laptop, rear parcel shelf, a 12V power outlet, baggage space lamp and remote keyless entry are other desirable features in Micra Active.
