Many of us go along with our lives and neglect the home we live in, often in exchange for a summer holiday or some nice new clothes. While the holidays are amazing, it takes a mere 1 year sacrifice to improve your home in a really noticeable way. It is something I strongly advise, if you get into the routine of ignoring the home then it becomes progressively difficult to get out of the rut.
Home improvement is really easy and with the rise of flat packed furniture, most of it can be done by you and there won’t be any need to employ the services of professionals. Imagine how much nicer it would be to have guests round without that feeling of dread about the way they will view the home you live in.
This article will highlight three ways in which you can improve your home without breaking the bank. Your home is what you work for and it should be decorated in a way so as you can show it off in a proud way to your friends and family.
Paint
It is often underestimated the importance of paint in our homes, if we choose a beautiful shade that complements our furniture then our house will be so much better for it. Paint is relatively cheap and you can do it yourself so don’t need to pay for a decorator. It is a great way to add new life to your home and change the whole mood and dynamics of it. We often get stuck in our ways and stick with the same colours throughout the house.
Ask the people who live there what colour they want in their room and make it happen.
If each room is decorated in a way that the inhabitant is comfortable with, then living there will be made much easier. The thing is, paint really is easily found and easily used, there are no real excuses for bland looking homes unless it is purposely that way in order to extenuate the furniture you have.
However I highly doubt that is the case for the people reading this article.
Invest some Time and Money
Invest a little money and time; your house is what you work to pay for so make it cool and classy. Shop around online and find the best furniture you can. There are some great companies such as Superglide that offer super sliding wardrobes that are hand made and hand fitted to fit the shape of your bedroom. They look really interesting and are practically, very spacious and hard wearing.
If you just invest that bit extra money for the classier model then they will last you longer and look much better in your home. It is a matter of preference obviously but it is much more logical to decorate once every three years but buy the expensive and best fittings as apposed to cheap stuff that breaks within a week.
Think Outside the Box
Be innovative, shop around and create a home that you and the people inside truly love. It doesn’t matter what other people think, tailor the room to what you like and trust me you will feel better for it.
