All About Eyelash Extensions

What women don’t want longer eyelashes? We see models, actresses and singers all with these amazing eyelashes and we want them too.

There is no shortage of products on the market to help us achieve this. Mascaras can help a little bit, but in the end they don’t last and you have to keep using mascara. There are even lengthening serums, but those don’t work that well either.

The next product to come into the market for longer lashes is eyelash extensions.

What are eyelash extensions though?

They are essentially single strands of synthetic eyelashes that are curved to mimic a natural eyelash.

I was first introduced to them when a girlfriend of mine came out with some friends for a birthday party a few months ago. Her lashes looked unreal and we all were jealous. She explained that she had hers done by Rootz Hair Design and their eyelash extension Maple Ridge service.

We wanted to know more about how we could get them done so we asked here loads of questions about styles, colors, price, procedure and how they felt.

She explained that they were lots of choices when it came to styles and colors. Almost too many, she said. It’s been proving that too many choices can make it difficult. She also said they weren’t that expensive and that they are simply glued on.

Glued on? That can’t be right, we said.

There are so many things that can wrong when it comes to eyelash extensions and having them glued to your face. That is why you have to carefully choose who puts them on. So make sure to do your research, but you will find that most hair salons in Maple Ridge can do this procedure. Be sure to ask the salon how many extensions they have done and if you can, ask for some referrals. It sounds like a hassle, but it’ll be well worth it when you find someone qualified.

If you go to someone who doesn’t know what they are doing, they could cause damage to your eyes. They also could harm your natural eyelashes and their length could shrink.

But my friend continued on about the benefits.

She said that it’s less maintenance than having to put mascara on day after day. They also cost less than having to by mascara as eyelash extensions can last up to a month.

You also have a choice as to how many extensions you want to add. Some women get anywhere from 40 to 140. It’s all about how much you can handle.

These benefits were enough to convince me and I am about to get my own eyelash extensions. I hope that I have educated you enough to make an informed decision if they are right for you.
